The Human Resources Generalist I provides support to leaders across all Human Resources functional areas, including Employee Relations, Recruiting, Training and Community Relations. This role contributes to the successful execution of the Human Resources department’s strategy and vision by developing effective plans and helping motivate employees.

Responsibilities
  • Administers human resources policies and procedures across two or more functional disciplines.
  • Supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department by working with each HR leader, including:
    • Assisting departments in resolving employee relations issues; supporting employees with benefits and leaves of absence; contributing to employee engagement activities; and analyzing HR metrics to provide recommendations for reducing turnover and improving customer satisfaction and productivity.
    • Recruiting talent that aligns with our culture and values.
    • Training and developing hourly, supervisory, and management staff.
    • Supporting Community Relations initiatives.
  • Works closely with Vice President of Human Resources to understand the department and property strategies.
  • Coordinate and execute Human Resources projects.  
  • Meet timelines through excellent planning, organization, follow through, and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Acts as a role model always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adheres to all company policies, regulatory and state/federal laws.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.    
  • Professional Human Resources certification preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of related HR work experience, preferably in employee relations or talent acquisition.
  • Must have strong technical skills, strong project management skills, strong analytical problems solving ability, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to operate in a high pressure, fast paced environment.    
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment; including a 10-key adding machine, computer, fax machine, and photocopier.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Caesars management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
