About the Role
TeamFicient is looking for an HR Data & Automation Engineer to clean up and structure our HR data (employee master data and historical leave records), resolve discrepancies across scattered sources, and build automated, auditable workflows for ongoing data accuracy and leave management. This is a solo, fixed-scope engagement: you own execution end to end, with IT touchpoints and management check-ins only as needed. You'll submit your own RFQ (proposed approach, timeline, hours, and cost) as part of the process.
Core Responsibilities
Data Structure & Cleanup
-
Review current employee/HR data sources and identify duplication, inconsistency, and gaps
-
Define a standardized employee master-data structure and required fields
-
Aggregate and reconcile historical leave records across multiple sources (Time Clock Wizard, spreadsheets, chat history) into a single verified master baseline
Workflow & Automation
-
Design and automate a future-state leave request/approval/balance-tracking workflow (Google Forms/Workspace or stronger proposed alternative)
-
Establish ownership, validation rules, role-based access permissions, and audit trails
Documentation
-
Document processes for ongoing maintenance and, where relevant, replication across additional country branches
Candidate Qualifications
Must-Haves
-
Strong data reconciliation/cleaning skills across messy, multi-source datasets
-
HRIS or employee-data management experience
-
Google Workspace automation experience (Forms, Sheets, notifications)
-
Ability to design access controls and audit trails for sensitive HR data

Experience with HR system-to-system synchronization
