Summary:
The HR Country Partner serves as the country-level HR expert and execution leader within Fortive's global People Operations team. Reporting to the Regional People Operations Leader, this role ensures HR programs, policies, and processes are implemented in a compliant, consistent, and efficient manner while balancing global standards with local country requirements. The HR Country Partner acts as the primary owner of country-specific compliance, local operational excellence, and enterprise HR initiative execution. The role serves as the critical bridge between global Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Payroll, HR Shared Services, and local business stakeholders to ensure HR programs and policies are successfully delivered at the country level.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of local employment regulations, operational rigor, project management capability, and the ability to influence without authority across a matrixed global organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own HR compliance with local labor laws, government reporting requirements and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), as applicable
- Act as the primary owner of country-specific HR documentation, policies, and practices.
- Lead and project-manage the implementation of country-level policy and compliance changes.
- Coordinate and execute annual HR cycles (e.g., compensation, performance) in alignment with partners (HRBPs, COEs) and in compliance with CBAs.
- Manage local benefits and wellbeing programs, including vendor relationships and occupational health services.
- Provide accurate local HR data for planning and ensure timely submissions to authorities.
- Partner with HRBPs on performance improvement plans, restructures, and local employee relations matters.
- Identify and support country-level efficiency improvements and process enhancements, developing standard work, documentation, and/or training to improve repeatability or self-service.
- Partner with MyHR and Payroll teams to improve service delivery, process efficiency, and employee experience.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, and increase self-service capabilities.
- Ensure operational readiness and successful execution of annual HR cycles and recurring people processes.
- Translate global policies, frameworks, and programs into compliant local execution plans.

Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and primary country language is required. Other regional languages are also beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience with significant exposure to country-level compliance and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and employment regulations.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country organizations.
- Demonstrated project management and change management experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a COE, Shared Services, or People Operations model.
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR technology.
- Experience supporting M&A integration, harmonization, or enterprise HR transformation initiatives.
- Professional HR certification and/or advanced degree.
