Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a responsive first point of contact for routine employee and manager HR questions; resolve administrative matters and elevate employee relations or other complex issues to the appropriate HR leader.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting activities for hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, pre-employment steps, and new-hire documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities across supported businesses, ensuring leaders, new hires, and internal partners receive timely information and required materials.
  • Support employee relations processes through documentation, meeting coordination, follow-up tracking, and consistent application of established HR practices.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, communications, recognition efforts, events, and follow-up actions.
  • Support safety administration and related HR activities, including training coordination, documentation, reporting, communication, and action-item follow-up.
  • Maintain employee data and records in HR systems; support personnel file audits, reporting, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Maintain and distribute recurring HR metrics and reports, including headcount, attendance, recruiting, and other people-related measures.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and other recurring HR programs as assigned.
  • Coordinate annual talent reviews, succession planning, performance-review cycles, calibration preparation, and monthly business and people performance reviews.
  • Manage assigned cross-business projects by establishing work plans, tracking milestones and owners, communicating status, and escalating risks or competing priorities.
  • Anticipate administrative needs, identify process gaps, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen consistency, communication, and execution across the supported businesses.

Working Relationships and Role Expectations
  • Build effective working relationships with HR leaders, business leaders, managers, employees, and shared-service partners across five businesses.
  • Proactively communicate priorities, progress, risks, and required decisions to direct and indirect leaders.
  • Balance business-specific needs with consistent Madison Air and Therma-Stor HR practices.
  • Use sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and know when to independently act, seek guidance, or escalate an issue.
  • Organize work across multiple stakeholders, recurring deadlines, and changing priorities without losing follow-through.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in HR coordination, project coordination, executive or administrative support, recruiting coordination, or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments and recurring deadlines.
  • Clear, proactive written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with leaders who do not directly manage the role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, timely follow-through.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Co-Pilot, Outlook, Teams, and Word; experience with HR information or applicant-tracking systems (Workday) is a plus.
