Position Summary
Primm Valley Casino Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support for the Human Resources Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a trusted resource for team members while helping ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state employment laws, and Nevada gaming regulations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional internal customer service while supporting the resort's culture and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare offer letters, background check documentation, and pre-employment paperwork.
- Conduct new hire orientation and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure positive employee experience.
- Ensure all required hiring documents, employment forms, and compliance paperwork are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with employment verifications and onboarding follow-up activities.
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files and electronic HRIS records.
- Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, wage adjustments, and separations.
- Track employee badges, gaming licenses, certifications, and other required credentials.
- Assist with HR reporting, document retention, and departmental recordkeeping.
- Support payroll by ensuring employee information is complete and accurate.
Employee Relations & Team Member Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and HR programs.
- Assist with employee recognition, engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and special events.
- Support HR leadership with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
Compliance & Training
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain records required by Nevada gaming regulations and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate required compliance training, new hire training, and annual certification programs.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and HR compliance initiatives.
General Administrative Support
- Prepare HR correspondence, reports, presentations, and other departmental communications.
- Assist with recruiting events, job fairs, career outreach, and employee appreciation programs.
- Order and maintain HR office supplies and departmental materials.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Human Resources equivalent experience may be considered.
- One (1) to three (3) years of Human Resources, administrative, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources principles, employment laws, and HRIS systems.
- Experience in hospitality, gaming, hotel, or resort operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative HR team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to move through multiple resort facilities as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and telephones.
- Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Work Environment
- Work is performed in both office and operational areas of the resort.
- Position requires frequent interaction with employees, guests, and management throughout the property.
- May require walking between multiple buildings and departments across the resort.

- Due to the nature of casino operations, team members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke while working in or traveling through gaming areas.
- Work environment may include exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures depending on the work location.
