Description

The HR Coordinator, Talent & Onboarding plays a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, with primary responsibility for recruiting, candidate experience, and new hire onboarding. This position partners closely with hiring managers to identify and attract talent, coordinate the hiring process, and ensure a positive and consistent onboarding experience for new employees.

In addition to talent acquisition and onboarding, this role provides support across a variety of HR functions, including employee records, benefits administration, compliance, employee engagement, HR reporting, and other HR programs and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Manage the day-to-day recruiting process for assigned positions, from job posting through offer acceptance.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job postings, and coordinate recruitment efforts.
  • Post and maintain job openings on appropriate job boards and recruiting platforms.
  • Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct or assist with phone and virtual interviews.
  • Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Prepare offer letters and other recruiting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant information in the applicant tracking system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruiting sources, schools, staffing agencies, and other talent pipelines as appropriate.
  • Track recruiting activity and provide basic recruiting metrics and reports.
  • Help promote the company as an employer of choice through recruiting events, career fairs, and other outreach activities.

Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Coordinate all aspects of the new hire onboarding process.
  • Ensure required new hire paperwork and employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding schedules.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure new employees have the information, resources, equipment, and introductions needed to successfully begin their roles.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Support a consistent and positive new hire experience from offer acceptance through the first several months of employment.
  • Assist with onboarding communications and new employee announcements.
  • General HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information.
  • Assist with personnel file administration and document management.
  • Provide support for employment verifications, employee changes, and other routine HR transactions.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee questions.
  • Support annual benefits open enrollment activities.
  • Assist with payroll-related HR administration and employee data verification.
  • Assist with leave administration and tracking as directed.
  • Support compliance activities, required postings, employee documentation, and HR audits.
  • Prepare routine HR reports and maintain HR-related spreadsheets and tracking tools.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs.

Employee Support & Engagement

  • Serve as a resource to employees for routine HR questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
  • Assist with employee communications and HR-related announcements.
  • Support employee surveys and other HR initiatives designed to improve the employee experience.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable presence that reflects the company's culture and values.
  • HR Projects & Other Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR team with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Support HR reporting, data collection, and analysis.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
  • Stay informed about HR practices, policies, and employment regulations applicable to the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or a related administrative role.
  • Experience coordinating recruiting and/or onboarding activities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and applicant tracking system.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or other corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with basic employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

This is an ONSITE role in St. Charles, MO.
