HR Business Partner

Purpose of the role 

The HR Business Partner supports managers and employees with HR related matters across ZEISS Netherlands.  You will collaborate with SSC Benelux managers and the local HR team (4 members) to deliver HR solutions aligned with our Global Strategy, our ZEISS values and business goals. As HR Business Partner you help create a healthy, productive and engaged organization by offering practical support and implementing policies. In this dynamic role you will serve as a key point of shaping our company’s culture and change management processes. You will report to the Head of HR Benelux.

The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

• Act as a trusted HR Business Partner for employees and managers regarding HR topics:

• Drive the local implementation of (global)l HR strategies and projects (e.g. Workday, Employee Survey, Health & Well being)

• Support as a Business Partner with internal stakeholders on recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance and talent development initiatives

• Assist with HR administration and reporting (e.g. absence, contracts, personnel files)

• Facilitate leadership and team development by advising on performance, coaching, strategic staff planning and career progression

• Participate in and lead cross-divisional HR projects and initiatives such as employee well-being, talent development and engagement

Required knowledge & experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration

• 3-5 years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR business partnering or generalist roles

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English

• Service- oriented, proactive and hands-on

• Understanding of Dutch labor law and HR compliance

• Accurate and able to handle confidential information with integrity

Desirable criteria

• Familiarity with HR systems such as Cobra or Workday

• Exposure to industrial or international work environments

• Ability to manage complex HR topics with discretion and structure

• Interest in recruitment, leadership development and organizational culture
