The role / impact
As a People Experience Business Partner, you will operate in a true partnership model, creating and driving strategic people initiatives for a global portfolio while acting as the primary support to senior leadership teams. You will work closely with colleagues across all regions and centres of excellence to ensure that consistent, impactful people programs are rolled out effectively and aligned to the global people strategy.
Your influence will span a broad spectrum of responsibility, providing guidance on everything from organisational design and leadership capability to complex employee matters. By leveraging data to derive meaningful business insights, you will help shape the people priorities that allow our teams to deliver their best work.
The team / how they connect
You will join a high-performing People Experience team that partners directly with senior leaders in the Product and Technology organisation to drive change and influence decisions. The team prioritises relationship-building and collaboration, working as a coordinated group to nurture a positive employee experience across our global sites.
The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on
Establishing and scaling the location strategy of Product and Technology team, focusing on team culture, ways of working, and site onboarding.
Embedding strategic changes following recent organisational shifts, including the refinement of career frameworks and raising the bar for recruitment.
Leading initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, particularly around attracting and promoting female talent within engineering.
Exploring the future impact of AI on required skills and organisational structures, while finding innovative ways to use AI tools in daily strategic work.
Where and how you can work
This is a hybrid role and supports a global Product and Technology portfolio, which spans across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. Xero supports a flexible working environment. You will have access to our office spaces for collaboration and "boost days," while also having the flexibility to balance your work from home according to the needs of your global portfolio and team.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
You bring proven experience as a partner to senior leadership teams, ideally within a global SaaS environment. Preferably supporting Product and Technology teams.
A deep understanding of varied HR disciplines is essential, including employee relations, performance management, and employment legislation.
Your ability to pull data and translate it into actionable strategic recommendations and helps leaders make informed people decisions.
A natural curiosity for AI allowing you to share ideas on how to shift from transactional tasks to high-impact strategic initiatives.
You possess the resilience and adaptability needed to build and improve programs from the ground up in an evolving organisation.
Strong business acumen and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
