The HR Team at ABB supporting our Electrification Smart Buildings (ELSB) division is growing! We're looking for motivated HR professionals with excellent business partnering skills and a desire to learn, grow, and make a daily impact with our employees, managers and leaders.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement people strategy through the execution of HR processes. Each day, you will provide HR support for a defined team or location, by partnering with respective managers. You will also showcase your expertise by representing HR in the business and establishing strong relationships with all business leaders and employees.
This role is open to remote candidates located in the US (preferably on Eastern or Central Time Zones) with the ability to travel 10%~. #LI-Remote
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Strategy: Understands and contributes to the overall business and people strategy. Takes accountability for the overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions and Shared Services. Determines and delivers the best approach and executes the HR Priorities while adding value to the business.

  • Execution: Ensures effective communication, engagement, and collaboration across the organization. Facilitates the change management initiatives and drives behavior change and continuous improvement. Supports the business and execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle. Implement HR priorities in line with organizational business strategy, utilizing the existing HR solution portfolio or ensuring to provide new solutions where appropriate. Overall responsibility for employee relations, performance management, compensation reviews, etc.

  • Business Partnership: Partner with managers and employees to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, and/or policies. Counsel managers and employees on the most effective solutions to resolve issues. Partners with respective manager to develop and implement people strategies. Coaches, motivates, and develops talent to build an effective, capable, and high-performing team.

  • Leadership: Provides leadership and guidance to ensure that the team is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Represent HR in business and establishes strong relationships with all business leaders. Acts as consultant, sparring partner, coach, and facilitator to business leaders.

  • Data & Systems: Lead projects and audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency in relevant HR Systems (Workday) including job profiles, work locations, bonus plan / target, grading, goals, and Individual Development Plans. Manage HR dashboard to track trailing and leading HR indicators. Supports managers and employees with Workday with a focus on educating towards self-service.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or Related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant HRBP experience

  • Experience as HRBP for Marketing & Sales preferred

  • Strong business acumen

    While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $190,400 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
