Location: Cluj or Sibiu
Position Type: Full-time
Working Pattern: Frequent travel to support from 2 to maximum 5 stores across different cities as the market grows (currently Cluj and Sibiu). This is an on‑site role with an option for hybrid working (1 day of home office per week).

Qualifications

What you’ll do?

In your role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across a range of skillsets and act as a trusted advisor to Store Managers, retail management, and in-store P&C teams providing strategic guidance on all people-related matters. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:   

  • Business Alignment & Operational Impact – align P&C activities with global and regional strategy, embed change programs, monitor KPIs, monitor data collection in P&C systems and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Performance & Talent Management – oversee performance review processes, manage talent pipelines, and facilitate succession planning.
  • Learning & Development – coach Store Managers and retail teams, ensure delivery of core learning programs and identify training solutions to build capability.
  • Recruitment – support managers with effective hiring practices and planning recruitment activities.
  • Engagement & Well-being – champion Primark culture, drive colleague engagement through surveys and action plans and embed global well-being initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance – ensure adherence to policies and employment law, providing guidance on ER matters and liaise on complex cases.

  • HR expertise – minimum 2+ years of experience in an HR Advisor, HR Manager or HR Business Partner role, with strong knowledge of local employment legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Sector experience – background in retail or similar fast-paced, customer-facing environments with large colleague headcount (such as hospitality, FMCG, logistics and others).
  • Talent & change management – hands-on experience in talent development, performance management, and driving change initiatives.
  • Communication skills – highly persuasive communicator with strong delivery and facilitation skills.
  • Organizational & analytical ability – excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong problem-solving with commercial acumen.
  • Engagement & wellbeing – a passion for creating a positive, inclusive store culture and supporting colleague wellbeing.
  • Language & adaptability – Fluent Romanian and English language skills at a communicative level, with confidence working in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Flexibility – willingness to travel and attend training in another city.
