Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the North America (NAM) People Team, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, processes, and initiatives that support business objectives and enhance employee experience.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, offering expert HR guidance to drive business and people-related outcomes.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
  • Oversee the North America talent acquisition function by managing a Talent Acquisition Specialist, ensuring alignment with organizational hiring strategies, compensation, and benefits.
  • Partner with the HR Ops team to ensure consistent and high-quality HR service delivery.
  • Address proactively employee relations matters to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across North America, and lead updates as needed.
  • Support the design and implementation of learning and development initiatives to promote continuous learning, upskilling, and career growth.
  • Lead the performance management cycle providing guidance on performance issues, with managers on employee development.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies and collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate processing of variable compensation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure the integrity of HR databases and systems.
  • Analyze HR metrics and use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with HR trends and propose innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through communication, feedback mechanisms, and action planning.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention efforts through regular feedback mechanisms, action planning, and communication strategies.
  • Promote and embed the company’s culture, values, and employer brand throughout the organization.

Information security

  • Be aware of their own responsibility regarding information security
  • Perform their work according to the applicable policies and procedures
  • Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of our ISMS
  • Report any observed or suspected weaknesses in our ISMS and any information security incident
  • Promote awareness regarding information security in the team
  • Monitor the applicable key indicators of the ISMS

Quality and Regulatory Compliance

  • Be vigilant and responsible for your product quality and performed activities
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with applicable quality/regulatory policy and procedures
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System
  • Report any observed or suspected materiovigilance in our QMS, and any irregularities related to our products and activities
  • Be aware that a product defect can occur as a result of improper execution of a task performed

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including team management
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver people programs focused on engagement, development, and retention
  • Bachelor's degree
  • International business experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in HR or business
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization is a plus.
  • Experience in a startup or scaleup environment
  • Another language is a plus
