Human Resources Assistant
Pay: $19–$24 per hour
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will support the daily operations of the HR department and serve as a key resource for employees, applicants, and new hires. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and supporting a positive employee experience.
The Human Resources Assistant supports the daily operations of the HR department and serves as a first point of contact for employees and applicants.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Human Resources Department and provide friendly, professional support to employees and applicants.
- Provide administrative support for daily HR operations.
- Partner with the Recruiter to coordinate job offers, pre-employment screenings, background checks, references, MVRs, OIG checks, and new hire paperwork.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and assist with scheduling other employee trainings
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS/timekeeping systems, I-9s, benefits records, and other confidential HR files in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain employee training records and prepare training certificates.
- Track employee certifications, licenses, required screenings, and renewal dates.
- Assists employees with setting up network access.
- Assists with employee communication regarding events and/or company information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of Human Resources or related experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple people, phone calls, and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Professional, friendly, and positive demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
