Job Posting Description:

This is a hybrid role #LI-Hybrid

Are you passionate about providing comprehensive and consistent HR guidance? Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will provide HR support to clients and business partners across a multi-location environment within the Corporate, Supply Chain, Warehouses & Depots. You will focus on labour and employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, disability management mentoring and recruitment. You will steward key organizational changes, enable team effectiveness and performance, and meet short and long-term people strategies that will drive LCBO’s success.

About the Role

  • Elevate people management capabilities by coaching client groups on all people and talent matters (i.e., employee relations, performance, and attendance management).
  • Partner with retail leaders, to provide advice on collective agreement and employee relations matters.
  • Prepare files for disciplinary matters and grievance meetings, ensuring all relevant information is provided.
  • Manage employee/labour relations issues and participate in workplace investigations to ensure that the high standards and workplace policies are maintained and adhered to.
  • Provide advice, assistance, recommendations and coaching in workplace investigations arising from discipline, grievances, and potential dismissal cases.
  • Collaborate with management and the Workplace Wellness and Safety team on both occupational and non-occupational claims.
  • Support management in the development of workplace accommodation plans as needed and appropriate.

About You

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field of study or combination of education and experience.
  • CHRP designation is considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience providing HR advisory services in a unionized setting.
  • Deep knowledge of the HR function, including employee and labour relations, disability management, workplace investigations, recruitment and staffing, and training and development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government and policies, procedures, practices, legislation, regulations, labour/employment law and Collective Agreements.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills with the flexibility to navigate a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to manage critical and confidential matters with professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HRIS programs.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle to travel to various locations within Ontario.
