Job Description

Join a purpose-driven organization where people are at the center of everything we do and where HR plays a critical role in enabling business performance, managing risk, and creating an inclusive workplace experience.

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our Accessibility & Accommodations team, a specialized group that assists employees in navigating disability-related needs, workplace barriers, and leave-related situations. In this role, you will help create an environment where employees are supported, leaders are equipped to make informed decisions, and accommodation outcomes are fair, consistent, and compliant.

As an HR Advisor, you will manage complex, high-impact accommodation and leave cases that require thoughtful analysis, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of disability and leave laws. Every situation is unique, and success in this role depends on your ability to evaluate nuanced information, assess risk, and develop practical solutions that balance employee needs, legal requirements, and business objectives.

You will do work that matters by helping employees access support they need to be successful, guiding leaders through challenging situations, and ensuring we maintain an inclusive workplace grounded in respect, compliance, and accountability.

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end accommodation and leave cases involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), leaves of absence, and workplace accessibility matters

  • Manage and document the interactive process, evaluating medical information, restrictions, job requirements, and accommodation options to determine appropriate solutions

  • Analyze complex and often ambiguous situations, applying sound judgment to develop practical, compliant, and business-aligned recommendations

  • Partner with Employee Relations, Legal, Leave Administration, and other key stakeholders to assess legal, operational, and employee impacts while balancing risk, employee experience, and business needs

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, HR partners, and stakeholders on accommodation strategies, leave administration, and accessibility-related matters

  • Communicate sensitive decisions and complex information with clarity, professionalism, and empathy

Why this role matters

  • You will directly influence the employee experience by helping remove workplace barriers and ensuring employees have meaningful access to opportunities and support

  • You will serve as a key advisor in situations that require both technical expertise and thoughtful human judgment, helping leaders make informed and defensible decisions

  • You will contribute to a workplace culture that values inclusion, accessibility, and belonging while maintaining a strong compliance and risk-management

  • You will help the organization navigate evolving disability and leave requirements while delivering consistent and equitable outcomes

What we offer

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives and experiences of employees across the enterprise

  • Exposure to complex, high-visibility work that strengthens your expertise, judgment, influence, and strategic thinking in accessibility, accommodations, and employment-related compliance

  • A collaborative HR team that values continuous learning, partnership, and shared problem solving

Who you are

  • A confident and credible advisor who can navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment

  • Skilled at analyzing complex information and translating legal, medical, and operational considerations into practical recommendations

  • Comfortable operating independently and making decisions in situations where guidance may not always be clearly defined

  • Strong in critical thinking, risk assessment, and balancing competing priorities

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate, defensible documentation and high-quality case management

  • Passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and creating workplace solutions that provide equitable access

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in employee relations, HR advisory services, disability management, accommodation administration, or related HR functions

  • Knowledge of workplace accommodations, disability management, leave administration, and accessibility solutions

  • Experience partnering with Legal, Employee Relations, or other risk-management functions on complex issues

  • Experience interpreting and applying ADA, FMLA, PWFA, and related federal, state, and local laws

  • Experience managing complex employee cases requiring independent judgment and stakeholder consultation
