ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a qualified and motivated HR professional to join our team in Tanzania as an HR Manager or Assistant HR Manager. The position level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.

The successful candidate will manage and support key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, policy development, performance management, and compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, while promoting effective HR operations and employee engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.

  • Oversee payroll processes, employee benefits administration, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.

  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, statutory requirements, tax regulations, social security contributions, and company policies.

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Coordinate performance management processes, including employee appraisals, assessments, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate programs to enhance employee skills, productivity, and career growth.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and activities that promote positive workplace relationships and teamwork.

  • Supervise administrative operations, including office management and employee welfare activities.

  • Support the implementation and review of workplace health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records to support business decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of HR experience, preferably in Tanzania.

  • Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and regulations.

  • Proven track record in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
