Job Purpose:
As a Copywriter, you’ll be responsible for developing ideas and writing content for various parts of the business that will appear both internally and externally. From advertising and thumb-stopping social content through to film scripts and treatments, you’ll get involved in various interesting and exciting projects.
A storyteller at heart, you’ll be able to turn client briefs into the kind of content that people will want to watch, read or listen to. You’ll have an ability to craft the right words to connect with people over a variety of different subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
With the guidance of the Creative Director, you’ll develop creative concepts for brand, product, and integrated campaigns across all channels
Define and elevate the brand voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and distinctiveness across the organisation
Translate complex propositions into compelling, customer-focused narratives
Partner closely with creative directors, designers, producers to deliver best-in-class creative work
Act as a creative voice in cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders across marketing, product, and leadership
Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements while maintaining high creative standards
Present and sell creative ideas with confidence and clarity to senior stakeholders
To maintain the high standards of creative output within the applicable corporate identity.
Ensuring that all completed work is thorough, accurate and meets deadlines.
Day-to-day creative decision-making is part of the role (significant copy changes or issues should be escalated to the Creative Director or Studio Head)
The timely communication of specification and scheduling changes back to the Traffic Manager
Experience/Qualifications:
Experience of writing for various corporate brands, maintaining a consistent approach across a range of media.
You’ll have a lot of experience of short-form copy - whether that’s advertising, social media or direct mail (particularly email campaigns).
You’ll have experience of taking complex content and turning it into well-crafted content that speaks to people.
Proven experience in an agency or in-house creative environment, ideally within financial services or other regulated industries
You’ll have a book brimming with strong ideas as well as beautifully written copy.
You’ll be comfortable presenting your ideas to the internal team and also clients.
You’ll have worked in a client-facing role where you built strong client relationships.
