Job Purpose:
Our Horticultural Print Librarian processes custom orders, manages printed botanical content, helps write plant data descriptions by providing accurate detailed horticultural information, and adds photography for the creation of the product for print on plant tags and labels that are printed at our location.Job Responsibilities:
● Write up and process job tickets based on estimates, quotes, PO, art and special instructions provided by Accounts Specialist and/or Sales Executive. Maintains an updated ERP doc to match.● Maintain up-to-date status of all current jobs, regularly communicates with Account Specialist to field customer inquiries on demand and without delay
● Responsible to monitor scheduling for, and problem solve or communicate any delays or problems to production personnel.
● Escalate any job problems and changes to Sales Executive, Account Specialist and/or customer, including but not limited to, specifications, art, schedules and applications, when appropriate.
● Facilitate communications between departments to meet customer deadlines.
● Responsible for building and supporting reporting tools used by finance and business leaders to drive action and support initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● Degree in horticulture, agriculture, or a minimum of 2 years related experience
● Experience in garden centers, botanical gardens, or related field
● Proficiency with design software (such as Adobe InDesign or MS Office) and deep understanding of plant nomenclature
● Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
● Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and must be a team player
Work Experience:
● 1-3 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Education:
● High School Diploma/GEDWorking Conditions:
This job operates in an office environment. However, frequent trips to the production floor and other buildings are expected.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
