Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for handling 3rd party Property Damage Claims arising out of Homeowners Liability from the first notice of loss through resolution/settlement of the claim. This position also serves as a resource for first party customers providing thorough explanation of policy benefits and guidance empowering them to make informed decisions prior to initiating a claim. As part of the hiring process, this position requires the completion of an online pre-employment assessment. Further information regarding the assessment including an accommodation process, if needed, will be provided at such time as your candidacy is deemed appropriate for further consideration.What Will You Do?
- Handles 3rd party Property damage claims arising out of Homeowners liability from low to high complexity.
- Provides exceptional customer service to both 1st and 3rd parties maintaining full compliance with internal and external quality standards and state regulations. Leverages technology to interact with customers and claimants including video to scope damages, prepare an estimate, negotiate, and settle the claim.
- Reviews and analyzes coverage, policy conditions, provisions, exclusions and determines the extent of liabilty and damages and negotiates settlements to 3rd party claimants within settlement authority.
- Determines appropriate settlement amount based on independent judgement, computer estimating programs, and establishes actual cash value.
- Investigates all relevant facts to determine coverage, damages and liability under Homeowners policies.
- Accurately and thoroughly documents information in claim system and manages file inventory to ensure timely resolution of claims.
- Participates as a loss consultant to our customers in need of advice before filing a claim through direct calls, live transfers, call backs and other means of customer communications.
- Responds to customer and agent questions relating to loss scenarios, thoroughly reviews the policies and endorsements to provide accurate coverage guidance educating the customer to make informed decisions and captures the First Notice of Loss when requested by the customer.
- CAT Duty ~ This position will require participation in our Catastrophe Response, which could include extended hours to assist our customers.
- In order to perform the essential functions of this job, acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and Travelers requirements. Generally, licenses must be obtained within 3 months of start date and complete continuing education credits as required.

What is a Must Have?
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years outside building estimating and scoping including property claim handling experience required.
