Summary:
Hoist Operators keep our materials moving safely and efficiently! As a Hoist Operator, you'll operate forklifts, coordinate shipments, and manage inventory while working closely with our customer service and production teams. Hoist Operators ensure the smooth flow of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods in our warehouse and production areas. Safety and precision are top priorities in this active role.
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate forklift trucks and hoist equipment to move, stack, and transport materials.
• Perform yard jockeying tasks, including pulling trailers into docks.
• Complete daily safety checks on equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies in our inventory management system.
• Organize storage spaces and pick products according to detailed lists.
• Coordinate external shipments, including mail pickups and deliveries, with vendors.
• Communicate with internal and external partners to manage schedules and resolve issues.
• Count, weigh, and record material movements on daily tracking sheets.
• Keep production running smoothly with occasional team tasks or auxiliary assignments.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Successful completion of Hoist Operation certification within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of forklift or hoist operation experience.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office products.
