HOIST OPERATOR L-1
Where will you work: Onsite at Carlsbad, NM (76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256)
This position is responsible for complete control of all hoisting activities.
What you’ll do?
- Perform minor maintenance and to be able to troubleshoot issues on hoists.
- Preventive maintenance practices as well as general mechanical practices.
- Must be willing to work overtime including callouts.
What you’ll need:
- Must safely hoist personnel, product, supplies and equipment and therefore must have exceptional safety awareness.
- Ideal candidate will have 2+ years (preferred) of strong background in hoist operation.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of bell signal procedures.
- Ability to accurately receive and send bell signals.
- Conduct regular inspections and timely report mechanical and/or electrical problems with the hoist.
- Perform minor mechanical work and service work on hoist.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Work productively and communicate effectively.
- Work well under pressure at critical moments.
- Willingness to work overtime including call-outs.
- Must be able to pass company Medical physical every 6 Months.
- Must be able to use the necessary equipment and tools to perform the job duties.
- The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, walking. Must be able to use fall protection.
- Must wear all personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations in accomplishing the job functions.
- Candidate is also responsible for encouraging crew members’ compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
