Summary
Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Teamcenter Developer to manage, optimize, and maintain a Siemens Teamcenter X SaaS platform. This position is dedicated to ensuring cloud-ready BMIDE upkeep, overseeing workflow operations, and tailoring the Active Workspace interface while adhering to a governance model that prioritizes out-of-the-box solutions. The successful candidate will partner with enterprise architects, integration specialists, testing groups, and business leaders to implement scalable improvements that maintain compatibility with AIG and IPEM systems while ensuring the environment remains upgradeable.
Location: PAN INDIA
Responsibilities
- Cloud-Compliant BMIDE Management: Design, maintain, and deploy modifications to the Teamcenter data structure, including LOVs, naming conventions, revision protocols, display settings, GRM rules, business object attributes, and associated metadata.
- Workflow Template Oversight: Establish and sustain TCX workflow templates, standard handlers, task distribution logic, process assignments, and lifecycle-driven workflow behaviors.
- Active Workspace Setup: Customize AWC components such as tiles, stylesheets, custom menus, command visibility, column arrangements, workspace definitions, icons, and page or panel layouts.
- OOTB-First Customization Governance: Uphold a rigorous preference for standard capabilities. All proposed enhancements must be reviewed with Architects to ensure alignment with standard TCX features, AIG gateway schemas, and IPEM connector compatibility; deep C++ ITK server-side modifications are strictly forbidden.
- Minor Data Migration: Manage controlled, small-scale migrations and ad-hoc legacy data imports from sources like Windchill extracts, file shares, and acquired entity datasets into Teamcenter X.
- Migration Tools and Verification: Utilize Siemens-certified tools such as the Data Migration Toolkit (DMT), IPS_loader, IPEM migration framework, and PLMXML mapping mechanisms to transform, map, load, reconcile, and validate imported data.
- Regression Testing Coordination: Evaluate the impact of application, configuration, and schema changes on regression testing; coordinate necessary updates to the automation suite with the internal Testing COE, which holds ownership of these assets.
- Technical Execution: Lead solution analysis, effort estimation, configuration, peer reviews, unit testing, defect fixes, deployment support, and production stabilization for Level 3 minor enhancements and projects.
- Documentation and Compliance: Keep configuration specifications, migration mappings, deployment guides, validation records, release notes, and support documentation up to date in line with change-management and audit standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with architects, functional teams, AIG and CAD integration groups, Siemens support, the Testing COE, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and deliver stable solutions.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on expertise in configuring and developing Teamcenter and Teamcenter X environments.
- Advanced proficiency with BMIDE, including data model extensions, business objects, properties, LOVs, naming and revision rules, display rules, deep-copy behaviors, and GRM rules.
- Solid command of Teamcenter Workflow Designer, covering templates, handlers, process assignments, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Practical experience configuring Active Workspace, including tiles, workspaces, stylesheets, menus, commands, columns, icons, and UI validation.
- Deep understanding of SaaS-safe, upgrade-resilient configuration strategies and OOTB-first design philosophies.
- Proficiency in PLMXML or TCXML attribute mapping, structured data import/export, transformation, reconciliation, and load verification.
- Direct experience with DMT, IPS_loader, IPEM migration framework, or comparable Siemens-supported migration utilities.
- Working knowledge of AIG integration schemas and PTC Creo integration via IPEM.
- Experience providing Level 3 support, conducting root-cause analysis, resolving defects, managing releases, and executing controlled production deployments.
- Ability to coordinate test impact analysis, regression planning, and defect triage with a centralized Testing COE.
- Strong grasp of Git-based version control, peer review processes, traceability, and Agile delivery methodologies.
Added Advantage – Polarion Development

- Teamcenter or Teamcenter X certification is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Ability to constructively challenge non-standard customization requests and propose sustainable OOTB alternatives.
