This is an onsite position at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital 

As our HIM Coordinator, you will help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of health information across our regional facilities. Every day you will manage medical record deficiencies to support record completion, monitor and resolve HIM task queues to keep workflows moving efficiently, and serve as backup support for birth certificate processing and document imaging operations. To thrive in this role, you must bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while safeguarding confidential information. 

 

Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Coordinator: 

  • Oversee deficiency management activities to promote timely and accurate medical record completion. 

  • Prioritize and process HIM task queues to support efficient daily operations. 

  • Provide backup coverage for birth certificate processing and document imaging functions. 

  • Partner with regional teams and internal stakeholders to maintain compliant, high-quality health information workflows. 

  • Contributes to a fast-paced environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism are essential. 

Required Skills: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Experience in Health Information Management, medical records, or a related healthcare support role preferred. 

  • Knowledge of deficiency management, document imaging, and medical records processes preferred. 

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.50 - $20.66 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
