As our HIM Associate, you will help ensure patient health information is accurately captured, indexed, and maintained through efficient document imaging processes that support timely access, compliance, and continuity of care. Every day you will prepare and scan medical records and other clinical documentation into the electronic medical record, index and quality-check imaged documents for accuracy and completeness and protect the confidentiality of patient information while following established HIM policies and regulatory requirements. To thrive in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage repetitive processes with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Here’s what you will experience working as a HIM Associate:

  • Perform document imaging activities including prepping, scanning, indexing, and validating patient records

  • Support the integrity and accessibility of the electronic health record through accurate document management

  • Work with internal teams to resolve document discrepancies and maintain record quality standards

  • Follow HIPAA, privacy, and retention guidelines to safeguard protected health information

  • Contribute to efficient HIM operations through productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time expectations

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Basic knowledge of electronic medical records, scanning systems, and document indexing preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.61 - $22.95 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
