Business Analytics Sr. Analyst
Works in collaboration with business leaders to provide strategic partnership in analytics, identify and prioritize opportunities for impact, develop analytic solutions, leverage data science and technology capabilities, embed analytics-driven processes, operationalize and measure impact, to support decision making and execution based on data, facts and analytical findings across different parts of the organization. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
The Essential Functions of the role include:
- Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Business Analytics assignments/projects.
- Oversee analytical, quantitative, and financial cost modeling for clients with varying lines of business including Commercial and EGWP lines business.
- Responsible for effectively communicating with Senior Leadership, SAM, Non-Specialty Leadership and other business partners in the delivery of ESI opportunities to grow and manage financial results, including the preparation of strategic internal and external directed presentations
- Ensure client contract compliance by reviewing financial performance guarantees
- Provide management of key internal initiatives and projects
- Participate in department and company projects
- Support New to Market/Pricing implementation team as needs arise
Qualifications
- BS in Economics, Statistics, Finance or other quantitative area;
- 3-5 years of relevant financial/analytical experience - underwriting preferred
- PBM / Managed Care / Healthcare / Pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, financial modeling skills a plus
- Excellent PC skills
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Self-starter; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Required Technical Skills
- Experience in RDBM
- Datawarehouse experience
- Strong SQL knowledge writing complex queries
- Office Suite with strong Excel knowledge
- Preferred experience in VBA coding
- Preferred experience in Alteryx/Altier/SharePoint
