Automation Engineer – Associate AdvisorPosition SummaryThe Automation Engineer – Associate Advisor is an experienced individual contributor responsible for advanced production support, platform stability, and automation execution across enterprise, production‑grade environments. This role focuses on independently designing, building, and maintaining automation and infrastructure solutions while owning production support outcomes for assigned platforms and services.
The engineer plays a key role in ensuring reliability, availability, and operational excellence by resolving incidents, driving root cause analysis, implementing preventative automation, and enhancing observability. Working within DevOps and SRE practices, this role contributes to infrastructure standards, automation frameworks, and continuous platform improvements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support & Platform Reliability
- Provide advanced production support for assigned platforms, services, and automation workflows, ensuring high availability and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across application, compute, storage, and network layers.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to post‑incident reviews with actionable remediation plans.
- Identify recurring operational issues and implement automation to reduce incident frequency and manual intervention.
- Support vulnerability management, patching, and compliance activities across environments.
Automation & Infrastructure Engineering
- Independently design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows using Python, Bash, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Build and manage infrastructure automation using Terraform and cloud‑native templates to enable consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Contribute to infrastructure and deployment automation standards and best practices.
- Automate operational and support workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Cloud & Platform Support
- Support production workloads across public cloud platforms, primarily AWS, with exposure to hybrid or multi‑cloud environments.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure and services.

CI/CD & DevOps Practices

Observability & Monitoring

Cloud or DevOps certifications
Location & Hours of Work:
- Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.
- Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH).
