Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Highway Design Engineer in Milwaukee, WI.
Job Details:
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Perform specific and moderate portion of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
- Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests
- Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
- Identify discrepancies in results
- Provide guidance to entry level engineers
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Perform necessary tasks to complete primary design elements for engineering works
- Manage projects and the projects of entry-level staff
- Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 1 year of experience as a Highway Engineer, Transportation Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Highway and roadway design, including geometric design, horizontal and vertical design, intersection design, ramp design, curb ramp design, traffic staging, and permitting
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- MicroStation
- ProjectWise
- AutoTURN Pro
