As a High School School Clinician at Pinnacle School, you will provide individualized support, build strong partnerships with families and colleagues, and empower students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a relationship-centered learning environment.
What You'll Need
Doctorate or Master's degree in School Psychology, School Social Work, School Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field with appropriate Connecticut certification
At least 2 years of experience supporting children in a therapeutic or educational setting
Experience working with students in special education and familiarity with the IEP process and progress monitoring
Knowledge of executive functioning coaching, social skills development, CBT, DBT, and relationship-based therapeutic approaches
Strong communication, collaboration, and family partnership skills with a passion for helping every student reach their full potential
What You'll Do
Provide individual and small group counseling that supports students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth
Partner with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized student support plans
Conduct psychological assessments, monitor student progress, and contribute to IEP development and review meetings
Use evidence-based therapeutic strategies to strengthen executive functioning, emotional regulation, and social skills
Foster a safe, supportive, and relationship-centered environment where students can build confidence and independence
