We are looking for Hygienic Fluid Handling Product and Application Specialist who will be responsible for design, quotation, and product support for HFH applications and coordinating customers’ orders for hygienic products including pumps, valves (including valve automation), mixers/tank cleaning devices and installation material as well as other hygienic equipment and associated spare parts from quotation to delivery perspective.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Frequent communication with channels, customers, supply units and colleagues locally, regionally, and centrally.
- Review request and preparation of quotations and selection of products according to customer specification.
- Order and follow-up on supply units and distribution centers, following the customer order from order entry to delivery, invoicing and warranty period.
- Maintain sales process records in our CRM tool and other systems in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
- Manage leads from the market and customers and convert them in real business opportunities to ensure the pipeline.
- Prepare order documentation as required for submittal to the customer.
- Assist in the implementation of Alfa Laval’s online customer aid tools. Support channels and customers with such tools (e.g. Anytime, Product Guide, ALICE and others).
- Assist in the coordination of claims with the Business Unit and play an active role in our Quality Business System
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED
Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
Type and Length of Experience:
- Experience in an industrial B2B environment is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:
- A working technical knowledge of pumps, valves, and heat transfer products is an advantage.
- Commercial background is an advantage.
- You are an effective problem solver, a self-starter, detail oriented, service minded and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You must demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication, good personal organization and be proficient in the use of computers – preferably with experience of ERP systems.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (i.e., travel, motor vehicle use, etc.)
- Occasional travel within Canada (10% of time)
- Preferred to have a valid driver’s license in home province (car/passenger vehicle only), and the ability to travel by airplane.
