About the team (Optional)

The Desktop Engineer provides day-to-day technical support to an organization’s end-users and is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, printers, and other related equipment. The Desktop Engineer also handles the resolution of technical issues, ensures system and software updates are installed, and troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software issues. 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software systems, including PCs, laptops, printers, meeting equipment and other peripherals.
  • Provide technical support to all end-users for the resolution of hardware and software-related issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to end-users’ satisfaction.
  • Assist with the testing and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the security and stability of the organization’s desktop systems.
  • Ensure all desktop systems are updated with the latest software upgrades, patches, and anti-virus software.
  • Document processes and procedures related to technical support to improve efficiency and knowledge management.
  • Assist with other IT tasks as needed.

How you will stand out:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, especially in desktop engineering support.
  • Experience with Windows & MacOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other desktop applications.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience providing technical support to end-users.
  • Ability to adapt to short-term business trips in the United States
  • Ability to communicate and write technical documents in both English and Chinese.
