We are currently looking for a HealthShare Engineer for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. The selected candidate will support enterprise healthcare integration environments and work within a collaborative DevSecOps-focused team supporting InterSystems HealthShare, IRIS, and related middleware technologies. This role involves supporting production systems, automating operational processes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with infrastructure and application support initiatives.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategies and solutions for automating operations and improving software delivery methodologies and technology processes.
- Maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and support backup, recovery, patching, and ADFS integrations.
- Manage certificate administration, including updates and renewals across production and lower-level environments.
- Provide Tier 3 support for HealthShare applications and related technologies.
- Install, configure, and maintain InterSystems base software, kits, patches, and middleware applications.
- Support OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and implementation efforts.
- Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in Information Technology and/or Federal Government contracting environments.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience coding, maintaining, or supporting production systems.
- Hands-on experience with InterSystems Cache, IRIS, or HealthShare technologies.
- Experience automating infrastructure, testing, or deployments using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD processes to improve software quality and delivery speed.
- Strong experience with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with Unix/Linux systems, Apache, Python scripting, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace preferred.
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) environments is highly preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification preferred.
- Experience configuring and supporting large-scale middleware applications preferred.
