About the Role:

The Head of Wholesale Private Company will lead the private company wholesale division within Everest Insurance. This role involves overseeing the development and execution of strategies to grow the private company wholesale insurance portfolio, managing underwriting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Head of Wholesale Private Company will report to and work closely with the Head of Private Company to drive profitability and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage the private company wholesale division, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Mentor and develop staff, providing leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with the Head of Financial Lines & Specialty, and the Head of Private company to develop and execute the private company wholesale insurance strategy.
    • Identify market trends and opportunities to expand the private company wholesale insurance portfolio.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of initiatives.
  • Underwriting and Risk Management:
    • Oversee the underwriting process, ensuring adherence to risk appetite and tolerance levels.
    • Implement robust risk management frameworks and practices to mitigate potential losses.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
    • Utilize technology and data analytics to improve decision-making and operational performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
    • Communicate strategies and results to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in P&C insurance, with a focus on private company insurance (Wholesale experience within the private company space preferred).
  • Proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

For NY Only: The base salary range for this position is $210,000 - $275,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
