JOB DESCRIPTION
Organize, manage, and oversee the department's operations, ensuring that customer service delivery and operational activities are carried out promptly, safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, in compliance with applicable national and international regulations, while meeting the Bank's requirements and strategic direction at each stage of development.
Build and lead a dynamic team that delivers efficient, specialized, and friendly services to customers, thereby creating positive customer experiences and impressions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and manage budget plans and action plans. Propose resources and measures to fulfill the department's functions and responsibilities at each stage.
- Propose and coordinate the development and improvement of operating models, operational workflows (systems/processes), and product development related to the department's operations.
- Coordinate the identification, proposal, planning, management, and implementation of projects related to the department's operations, ensuring smooth operations and product handover.
- Coordinate the receipt of transaction requests and transaction inquiries, provide consultation, and process transactions as assigned.
- Receive, investigate, propose, and coordinate solutions to difficulties and issues arising during daily service delivery and operational processes at relevant units.
- Build and maintain an appropriate customer interaction environment and implement customer experience activities throughout the transaction process, ensuring that all activities are customer-centric (including both external and internal customers).
- Approve the implementation of improvement initiatives within the department. Propose process improvements and new system applications.
- Coordinate the development of tools to support operational control and implement controls over compliance and risks related to the department's operations.
- Guide, supervise, and remind employees to organize and complete documentation accurately, fully, and promptly in accordance with the Bank's regulations.
- Identify deficiencies, shortcomings, and risks in daily operations and service delivery to propose improvements and changes to relevant processes and/or systems.
- Control accounting entries, monitor and report discrepancies, and promptly detect fraudulent transactions and transactions exceeding approved limits or authority for appropriate handling and resolution.
- Participate in reviewing, developing, and improving policies, procedures, and guidelines related to service delivery and departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam, international practices and conventions, while meeting business requirements.
- Coordinate the monitoring of qualitative and quantitative data and information for periodic reports, following established formats and guidelines or as required.
- Attract qualified personnel to ensure adequate staffing in terms of both quality and quantity; manage, lead, and optimize employees' skills and knowledge; coach and develop the team and individual employees.
- Provide guidance and support for employees' career development, plan personnel changes and training, and build a cohesive team with appropriate expertise and qualifications.
- Periodically evaluate employees' performance and the quality of work across teams. Make recommendations to the direct manager regarding recruitment, salary increases, promotions, and employee transfers within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Banking.
- At least 7 years of experience in Trade Finance, including Trade Finance Issuance, Trade Finance Documentation, Trade Finance Payments, Operational Control, and Operational Support, with at least 3 years of experience in a departmental leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in accounting, payments, international trade, and foreign exchange. Understanding of Vietnamese and international laws related to payments, accounting, and anti-money laundering.
- Strong knowledge of related commercial banking products and services, banking systems, regulations, and market/international practices to provide technical advice.
- Strong operational thinking, customer service mindset, and operational risk management capabilities.
- Ability to respond promptly to the requirements of customers and management, with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure. Quick-thinking, dynamic, and creative.
- English proficiency and Microsoft Office skills meeting the Bank's MOS standards.
- Planning and goal-setting skills. Effective supervision, delegation, and performance management skills.
