About the Role
Are you ready to lead technology transformation at scale?
We’re looking for a Head of Technology to set the strategic direction and reset our tech organisation for global marketplace growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear mandate: build a high-performing team, deliver a secure and scalable platform, and drive measurable impact as we scale beyond £1B GMV.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Shape Strategy & Architecture: Define long-term tech strategy, global architecture roadmap, and technical standards.
- Drive Commercial Impact: Align technology decisions to GMV, conversion, and customer experience.
- Lead Transformation: Reset structure, processes, and operating rhythms for speed, quality, and resilience.
- Performance Management and Delivery Excellence: Set performance expecations, improve predictability, engineering discipline, and output quality.
- Build Talent & Culture: Develop senior leaders, attract top talent, and create a culture of clarity and accountability.
- Own Financials & Vendors: Manage budgets, optimise cloud spend, and streamline vendor contracts.
- Strengthen Security: Embed security by design, lead risk management, and ensure compliance across regions.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven leadership in high-scale, mobile-first digital environments.
- Strong architecture and systems design expertise.
- Track record of transforming teams and improving delivery performance.
- Commercially sharp, calm under pressure, and able to simplify complexity.
Benefits
The salary on offer for this role is between £120,000 and £140,000 depending on experience.
