Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is executing an ambitious growth strategy in the APAC Data Centre sector, with a particular focus on expanding Advisory & Transaction (A&T), Technical Services (TS), Managed Services (MS) and Structured Accounts (SA) through client-focused, value-driven solutions. The Head of Technical Services,
APAC, will be instrumental in this strategy, leading the management and expansion of complex, multi-service client portfolios while driving revenue growth and deepening strategic relationships with Major Data centre
operators, investors and institutional clients.

This role demands advanced commercial acumen, market intelligence and relationship management skills to develop long-term account partnerships, identify opportunities for cross-service integration and deliver tailored solutions that address the bespoke needs of structured and key accounts. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with service line leaders and regional management to position Cushman & Wakefield as the trusted partner of choice for sophisticated data centre clients, ensuring robust growth, seamless execution and enhanced market leadership across the APAC region.

The Technical Services business line within the APAC Data Centre Group currently provides Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Development Advisory, Feasibility Studies and Technical Due Diligence services to the Data Centre industry. There are aspirations to develop Data Centre White Space Fit Out and Construction Management service soon.

Job Description

About the role:

Regional Strategy & Direction

  • Define and lead the APAC Technical Services business strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth priorities and evolving Data Centre market demands.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory shifts to shape future service offerings and competitive positioning.
  • Build and execute a multi-year growth roadmap, including market expansion, new service lines, and operational scale-up.

Commercial Growth & Client Development

  • Act as the senior technical face of the business to major regional clients, hyperscalers, and large enterprise operators.
  • Drive new business development, conversion of strategic pursuits, and strengthening of key account relationships.
  • Oversee bid strategy for high-value proposals, ensuring technical credibility, commercial accuracy, and winning differentiators.
  • Expand wallet share across existing accounts through all lifecycle services.

Engineering & Technical Standards

  • Own the project technical governance framework for mission-critical projects across APAC.
  • Define project engineering standards, QA/QC expectations, and design/delivery principles that underpin all Data Centre development work.
  • Ensure regional consistency in technical outputs, commissioning quality, and systems performance.

Delivery Oversight & Operational Control

  • Provide executive oversight across the region’s portfolio of projects, stepping in on high-risk and high value programmes.
  • Ensure major project milestones, schedule performance, and budget outcomes meet business and client expectations.
  • Champion integrated risk management, technical assurance, and cross-project learning.
  • Mentor senior delivery leaders and elevate capability across technical and operations teams.

P&L & Financial Performance

  • Own the financial performance of the Technical Services business line: revenue, margin, and operational efficiency.
  • Shape commercial strategy, pricing frameworks, and profitability targets for APAC bids.
  • Ensure high-quality financial forecasting, cost control, and commercial risk governance.

Contract & Claims Strategy

  • Oversee complex client and supply chain contracts, ensuring favourable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance.
  • Approve strategies for variations, claims, contract amendments, and dispute resolution.
  • Strengthen the region’s commercial discipline and protect margin integrity across all programmes.

Executive Client Engagement

  • Build deep, trusted relationships with senior client executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic reviews, performance briefings, and long-term planning sessions with key accounts.
  • Serve as escalation point for major technical, commercial, or delivery issues.

Industry Positioning & External Representation

  • Represent the company at regional industry forums, thought leadership events, and key market engagements.
  • Strengthen brand presence in the APAC mission-critical space through technical advocacy and market influence.

Team Leadership & Organisational Development

  • Lead regional technical, engineering, and project operations teams.
  • Build a high-performing culture focused on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive succession planning, career pathways, and APAC talent development initiatives. Culture & Ways of Working: Foster collaboration across markets, service lines, and project teams. Embed a culture of safety, quality, client-centricity, and “first-time-right” delivery.
