At Grow Therapy, we’re rethinking access to mental health care by rebuilding the systems behind it.
The Role

About us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Head of Technical Recruiting to lead and scale our hiring across Engineering, Product, Design, and Data. In this high-impact, high-ownership role, you’ll own the technical talent strategy and execution, partnering closely with senior technical leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to consistently attract, assess, and hire exceptional technical talent aligned with Grow’s mission and standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments. You’ll manage a small but high-performing team, drive strategic initiatives, and personally close top-tier talent for critical roles.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and evolve the full-stack recruiting strategy for technical functions, ensuring alignment with company goals and workforce plans.
  • Partner strategically with the technical leaders to deeply understand team needs, define role requirements, and maintain a high bar for hiring quality.
  • Own recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity metrics), using data to diagnose performance, drive continuous improvement, and report progress to leadership.
  • When necessary, recruit directly for senior-level and mission-critical roles while coaching and improving hiring practices across the organization.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of technical recruiters, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement structured, equitable, and data-driven hiring processes that deliver exceptional candidate experience and consistent, high-signal evaluation.
  • Leverage data insights to diagnose pipeline performance, optimize hiring velocity, and elevate the quality of hires.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Talent Acquisition and broader People team on employer branding, systems, interview training, and hiring manager enablement tailored to technical teams.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion by embedding inclusive practices at every stage of sourcing and hiring.
What You Bring
  • 12+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience with a proven track record of consistently delivering top-tier Tech talent
  • 6+ years of successfully leading and scaling high-performing recruiting teams, with a demonstrated track record of driving measurable improvements in hiring outcomes, process efficiency, and team development in fast-paced tech environments
  • Track record of hiring top-tier technical talent at all levels
  • Strong operator mindset - able to design a process, identify gaps, and iterate fast
  • Experience supporting or partnering with fast-moving technical orgs in startups or growth-stage companies
  • Curious, growth-oriented mindset: Demonstrated curiosity and proactive learning, including researching and leveraging emerging AI tools and technologies to continuously improve recruiting effectiveness and candidate experience
  • Deep familiarity with structured interviewing, competency design, and inclusive hiring
  • Ability to translate hiring plans into scalable, repeatable playbooks with measurable outcomes
  • Strong storytelling and influence skills with senior leaders and hiring managers
  • Passion for recruiting, team development, and the mission of improving mental healthcare access

What We Do

We see technology not as a layer on top of care, but as the connective tissue that helps it grow.

Grow Therapy is an online therapy platform that helps you find a therapist who gets you—and takes your insurance. Grow was founded to create end-to-end systems that make therapy easier on both sides: helping therapists launch and grow thriving private practices by removing the friction of credentialing, billing, and insurance, so they can focus on care, and helping clients actually find and afford it.

Our founders come from Harvard Medical School, Stripe, and Blackstone, and bring Grow’s mission to life from the inside out, pairing bold vision with a culture of balance, belonging, and whole-person wellness.

We believe change starts by empowering therapists. Grow’s smart platform helps independent providers build sustainable practices by handling credentialing, billing, and referrals, so they can focus on what matters. With business tools, a supportive clinical community, and opportunities like CE events and speaking engagements, Grow helps therapists practice with more autonomy and less administrative strain, reducing no-shows, increasing demand, and creating more space for care.

We then help people find those licensed therapists who reflect their lived experience, whether that means shared racial or cultural background, language, identity, or life stage. Our platform makes it easy to search by specialty, availability, and insurance so clients can book care that fits their life and budget.

Today, Grow supports thousands of therapists and prescribers across all 50 states and has delivered care to over 1 million clients. We’re in-network with 100+ major insurers, including Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, and UnitedHealthcare, and have raised more than $178M from leading investors like Sequoia Capital, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, TCV, Transformation Capital, SignalFire, and Plus Capital.

We believe in benefits that support the whole you. That means two hours each week to care for your mental health, a $600 annual therapy stipend, $500 learning and $300 wellness stipends, a $1,000 remote office setup, free in-office meals, and flexible PTO with a paid December recharge week.

We’re building the future of mental healthcare and that starts with how we care for our own team. If you’re excited by bold challenges and meaningful impact, Grow with us.

Why Work With Us

At Grow Therapy, we believe well-being isn’t just a perk—it’s part of how we work. From clinicians to engineers, designers and support, every voice helps shape the care we build. Our mission-driven team is rethinking mental health care, supported by flexible PTO, paid winter recharge, mental health breaks, therapy stipends, and wellness perks.
