State Street seeks an accomplished and forward-looking Head of Talent Acquisition to lead experienced hiring across the COO, Wealth, and Alpha business groups.
This role is accountable for shaping and delivering hiring strategies across a significant proportion of the firm’s global workforce. It leads a global team of recruiters to deliver high-quality outcomes across the full hiring lifecycle, using data and performance metrics to drive pace, quality, and cost discipline, while advancing diversity and inclusion objectives.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Senior HR Business Partners and executive leadership teams to establish global functional priorities, develop robust hiring strategies, and ensure high-quality execution across regions and functions.

Successful candidates will:
Collaborate proactively with Hiring Managers and Senior HR Business Partners to assess staffing needs and create comprehensive hiring plans, advise on talent needs to expand the talent pipeline
Advise senior business leaders on evolving talent acquisition trends, acting as a subject matter expert.
Execute hiring strategies to position the firm competitively and attract top-tier talent, reinforcing State Street’s reputation as an employer of choice.
Partner with the Head of Talent Mobility & Internal Recruiting to maximize internal talent pools as part of overall sourcing strategies.
Deploy innovative sourcing methods to enhance acquisition of broad spectrum of talent, reduce time-to-offer, and optimize costs associated with external vendors.
Lead and manage an international team of recruiters fostering high performance and productivity.
Engage stakeholders to review recruiting progress, share competitive intelligence, and continually refine talent acquisition needs.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (e.g., time-to-offer, aged requisitions), developing and implementing action plans to resolve challenges and deliver best-in-class services.
Maintain a select requisition portfolio, focusing on critical senior roles with significant visibility, while functioning as both leader and hands-on contributor.
Qualifications
Significant experience leading talent acquisition in a global, complex organization, with a strong track record hiring for technology, data, and wealth management roles. Proven ability to influence and challenge senior business leaders, translating demand into effective hiring strategies and outcomes. Proficiency in HR technologies (e.g. Workday, applicant tracking systems) and their application to improve hiring outcomes. Demonstrated capability to build productive partnerships across organizational and geographic boundaries.
Background in in-house talent acquisition within financial services or similarly regulated, complex environments preferred. Effective communication skills and experience engaging all levels of candidates, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR partners.
Strong leadership track record, with demonstrated success in talent development and team management.
Salary Range:
$170 000 - $267 500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
