Job Description Summary

Responsible for all Supply Chain activities in META cluster for both inter-company and external supply products, in all process/business units and associated support functions such as demand & supply planning, order fulfilment, logistics, customs and foreign trade. Lead a team to support functions and is responsible for SCM Processes and SCM Performance in line with valid SOP’s, HSE and GMP rules. Establish clear and effective Business Process ownership within the organizational unit in line with Sandoz Operational Standard for Supply Chain Excellence. Member of the META cluster Leadership team.

Job Description

Major Accountabilities

  • Responsible for timely supply and distribution of the products, and achieving the optimum balance between customer satisfaction, cost, cash flow and flexibility through modern & efficient E2E SCM processes
  • Customer Centricity: Execute the best-in-class service through interactions with customers to ensure customers’ business needs are fulfilled and sales targets are met in partnership with the commercial organization
  • License to operate & Sustainability: Ensure norms and laws are compliantly adhered to in the E2E supply chain processes. Engage team on safe behaviors, compliant trade/logistics operations and on achieving safety targets
  • Cash flow focus: Optimize cluster inventory minimizing slow movers/write offs and balancing flexibility and capital efficiency according to targets set. Drive the local distribution strategy and W&D cost optimization within the cluster
  • Integrated planning, execution and decision making: Engage, collaborate and improve cross S&OP processes, while translating sales forecast into an integrated commercial-financial supply plan
  • E2E SCM performance & excellence: Own the end-to-end cluster SC operations vision and roadmap. Enable enterprise priorities and required investments to drive the cluster roadmap, including SC improvement initiatives and projects, digitalization
  • Aligns business priorities with commercial and ensures alignment with SIR SCM functions.
  • Inspire and coach a high-performance cluster SC team to pursue a best-in-class E2E Supply Chain organization and drive a continuous improvement “Sandoz Way” culture

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • University degree, preferably with focus on SCM or Logistics, MBA is a plus; alternatively equivalent experience12+ years of experience with Strong expertise in Supply Chain, Customer Service and Logistics processes.
  • Geographic experience in Egypt, Middle East, Africa, Turkey or similar market Archetypes.
  • Leadership role experience is required
