About the Role:
Monte Carlo is seeking a driven, results-oriented Head of Strategic Product Marketing to join our growing Marketing team. In this position, you would be responsible for setting the direction and executing our overall product marketing strategy, including positioning & messaging, sales collateral development, competitive positioning, technical evangelism, and larger go-to-market initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a defined point of view about our product, including its strengths and areas of improvement, and a customer obsession that fuels their work, from product launches and pitch decks to customer collateral and landing pages.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Among other areas, this individual would be responsible for:

  • Positioning & Messaging. Ability to develop concise and compelling messaging alongside Product leadership to convey the value and impact of our data observability platform for our customers across segments and personas.
  • Stakeholder Management. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving consensus across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Senior Leadership, and Marketing while exhibiting a clear, well-constructed, and persuasive point of view about our product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Technical Enablement. Ability to quickly and succinctly educate Sales, Customer Success, and our prospective customers on new product capabilities, integrations, and partnerships without getting bogged down in the details.
  • Competitive Positioning. Expertise in building our competitive battle cards, customer-facing slides, advertisements, and other materials to differentiate Monte Carlo by highlighting our category and product leadership.
  • Product Launches. Drive the creation of collateral, website updates, blog posts, launch videos, and other assets that support product launches and ongoing marketing efforts.
  • Thought Leadership. Pulling on larger industry and vertical trends, create thought leadership content for our blog, social media, conference presentations, and third-party bylines that showcase our company's point of view and product innovation.
  • Project Management. A knack for thinking in frameworks and working programmatically to scale initiatives and drive successful outcomes, such product launches, pitch certification, and persona research.
  • Go-to-Market Collateral & Enablement. Develop pitch decks, demos, whitepapers, and brochures to help market our product and communicate core value propositions at both a technical and business level.


We're excited about you because you have:

  • 7+ years of B2B experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years operating at a senior level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that translate into concise and compelling product narratives.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple and pithy sound bites for go-to-market teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies for complex data and software products for midmarket and enterprise companies.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and driving consensus on cross-functional decisions with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Executive Stakeholders.
  • A defined perspective on the data and AI landscape, including knowledge of the key players, opportunities, and challenges in the space.
  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, Canva, and other workplace data analysis and presentation software.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Desire to drive impact as an individual contributor and manage a growing team.
