In a constantly changing marketplace we sell Dyson technology across the world to leading retailers. We combine global strategy, local market knowledge with the right trading terms to present Dyson in the best possible way. It requires managing multiple networks of Dyson people and overseeing many different retail areas – from in store fixtures to online activation. It takes ownership, courage and tough negotiations. Being constantly driven to see clearer solutions and drive better sales.
About the Role
Our Head of Retail Sales AU manages the Dyson AU sales team to ensure the team is effectively managing volume through to gross margin and how we show up across the retail landscape.
The core component of this role is to grow Dyson sales volume, revenue, gross margin and market share in consumer products in Australia.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-

Lead annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) with top customers and negotiate annual terms and strategic commercial agreements

Leading partner relationships to drive win/win outcomes for retailer and Dyson

Deliver game changing initiatives that will transform categories and constantly challenge our thinking to find growth

Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams across AU and NZ to ensure best practice is executed

Deliver monthly and annual sales volumes to plan and communicating to the leadership team and wider business any changes to budget, target or LE

Drive effective channel strategies that optimise retail opportunities and Dyson profitably in line with ANZ goals

Conduct regular meetings with key contacts within the trade to ensure retail partners joint business plans are on track

Annual top to top meetings between Dyson senior personnel and key AU retail partners

Champion and deliver key retail initiatives both within Dyson and with the retailer

Inspire, lead and motivate your team through regular feedback, 1:1’s development plans and objectives

Manage processes to ensure that the team is as effective as possible to meet business goals

Drive seamless integration between AU and NZ teams

Contribute to and drive an environment of accountability and partnership with internal and external stakeholders

Manage the Dyson national account manager team to deliver business goals

Partner with the retail team to ensure that they have the necessary tools to execute plans in store

Shape and influence our strategy for how our products are merchandised and presented in store and online

Present to retailers all NPD and deliver world class NPD launches in the AU market

Monitor competitor activity, report and develop activity to counter their impact

Take the fight for product leadership to competitors and exploit fully our technological advantages

Work with Group to identify trends and develop strategies to outperform the competition

Lead the fight against copycats and those infringing Dyson IP

Previous skills & experience

Demonstrable success in a senior sales role, leading a team, delivering results and year on year growth
