Main objectives
We are seeking a strategic and forward-looking Head of Sales to lead our Singapore sales organisation (external teams) and drive sustainable business growth, profitability, and market expansion. This role requires a leader who can transform the traditional material-supplier approach into a solutions-driven, customer-centric commercial strategy, positioning our company as a trusted partner to key industries.
You will be responsible for defining and executing the national sales and business development strategy, growing market share, strengthening key account relationships, and driving excellence across major bids, project pursuits, and new business opportunities. The role further requires strong cross-functional collaboration, rigorous commercial discipline, and the ability to uplift internal processes, systems, and team capabilities to support long-term growth.
Sales Leadership & Strategy Execution – Lead the sales team toward achieving annual revenue, margin, and market-share targets. Develop and implement strategic sales and BD plans, drive growth in core and emerging segments, and oversee major project bids and tender pursuits. Ensure disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and strong opportunity qualification.
Team Development & Coaching - Mentor and develop internal and external sales teams through continuous coaching, training, and implementation of individual development plans. Cultivate a performance-driven, customer-focused team culture
Business Development & Key Account Management – Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic accounts with Project Sales Manager. Lead prospecting activities, customer value discussions, and solution positioning to open new revenue streams. Engaged in major account development and relationship management to strengthen long-term business ties and customer satisfaction.
CRM Ownership & Sales Enablement – Champion CRM adoption to increase transparency, productivity, and data-driven planning. Collaborate with global teams to enhance system usage, integrate best practices, and oversee the creation of sales tools, playbooks, and enablement materials that support consultative and solution-based selling.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy – Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer trends. Partner with Marketing to refine go-to-market strategies, segment priorities, pricing approaches, and value propositions.
