We are looking for a Head of Sales Mexico to lead our national sales organization and drive sustainable growth across the Mexican market. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for sales performance, strategy execution, customer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will play a key role in shaping ZIM’s commercial success in Mexico while serving as a core member of the local Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national sales team
- Ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and profitability targets
- Distribute sales targets and define priorities across the team
- Oversee customer visits, quotations, agreements, reporting, and revenue follow-up
- Manage key accounts and negotiate strategic and special projects
- Improve sales processes and interfaces with other departments to maximize efficiency and customer experience
- Expand and strengthen ZIM’s customer base in Mexico
Strategic & Commercial Activities
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with market trends
- Maintain deep knowledge of competition, market dynamics, and trade flows
- Identify new revenue opportunities and propose new commercial initiatives
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with customers by understanding their business needs
- Stay ahead of market trends and share insights with local teams, regional offices, Business Units, and HQ
- Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of ZIM Mexico

- Bachelor’s degree in International Business or a related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience developing and managing sales teams
- Experience in a global company in a similar commercial leadership role
- Deep knowledge of the container shipping industry in Mexico
- Strong understanding of import/export flows, terminals, forwarding, and inland transportation markets
Skills & Capabilities
- Proven people leader with strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience leading process improvement, change management, and digital transformation
