Powershop, part of Shell Energy Australia, is seeking a Head of Product based in Melbourne to lead our B2C product and propositions portfolio.

Reporting to the General Manager, B2C Commercial and Future Energy, this role sets the product vision and roadmap across energy plans and bundled propositions—balancing customer experience, commercial performance and regulatory compliance.

With respect, integrity and honesty you will:

  • Define and lead the B2C product and propositions strategy, aligned to growth, retention, margin and customer outcomes
  • Own and prioritise the end-to-end product roadmap, ensuring it meets customer needs, is innovative and scalable, seeks and leverages market opportunities, maximises margin and delivers on the customer value proposition
  • Sponsor and drive development of new, and improving existing products
  • Embed disciplined product management frameworks, governance and decision rights, ensuring clear ways of working agreed across the business
  • Use customer insight, data and financial modelling to drive portfolio performance and lifetime value
  • Partner closely with Pricing, Marketing, Digital, Customer Operations, Finance, Legal and Technology to ensure efficient delivery of product outcomes
  • Lead, coach and build a high-performing product management team
  • Represent Product at senior forums, shaping investment and strategic decisions

  • Proven leadership experience in strategic product management
  • Excellent stakeholder influence and executive communication skills, and demonstrated collaborative approach
  • Experience in retail energy (or regulated consumer utilities), including tariffs and propositions)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into a prioritised, outcome-driven roadmap
  • Excellent commercial acumen, including business cases, margin and customer lifetime value
  • Deep understanding of product discovery and delivery practices, and ability to manage change
  • A customer-obsessed, resilient and influential leadership style with strong judgement
