Head of Product Management (100%)
Starting date: as soon as possible

Your role:

Your Mission: To build, coach, and scale a high-performing product management team while driving the flawless execution of Flya's product strategy.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO), you will be the operational engine and cultural cornerstone of our product organization. At Flya, the CTPO and the Principal Product Manager set the overarching product vision; your job is to lead the 6-person product management team to turn that vision into reality. You will focus on team development, modern product processes, and execution, as well as roll up your sleeves to lead specific products hands-on when needed. You will foster a culture of deep empathy for our customers, rapid testing, and evidence-based product management, ultimately empowering the whole engineering team to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

What you will own:

  • Champion Product Management Excellence: Set the gold standard for how to build an in-depth understanding of our end users and their needs. You will define how we drive efficient development through continuous discovery, data-driven decisions, and translating insights into outcome-focused requirements. You are directly accountable for elevating the entire product team to this level through your mentorship and frameworks..
  • Team Management & Growth: Coach and guide your team of product managers and UI/UX designers to success. You will be a "safe base" who understands their strengths, builds career paths, holds them accountable, and actively manages hiring, team composition, organization, and performance. You will cultivate a low-ego environment where evidence wins over opinions, fostering teamwork to deliver a cohesive product portfolio..
  • Bring our products to success: You ultimately own the commercial success of our products. You will learn directly from our customers and internal teams to understand our technological strengths and opportunities, where the industry is heading, and what will drive our key business metrics. You will also stay hands-on by testing products in the field with customers or managing specific products of your own.
  • Company-Wide Product Coordination: Drive the operational alignment between Product and the rest of the business. You will own the "ways of working" with Dev and commercial teams, expertly coordinating cross-departmental activities and communication, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring a frictionless interface for all product-related initiatives.

Your profile:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management with a demonstrated track record of shaping and managing disruptive deep-tech B2B products (Pure SW is great; HW+SW is highly preferred). You have successfully scaled products that generated multi-million USD annual revenues. You have hands-on experience running customer interviews, defining products, and interfacing with development and commercial teams.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team. You have a track record of recruiting top talent, holding people accountable, coaching them to progress, and making tough personnel decisions when necessary. You have hands-on experience setting up modern product management methodologies and product analytics.
  • Self-motivated, optimistic, and action-driven, with a strong desire to learn and a readiness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, nationally and internationally.
