Interns work on real, product-impacting robotics problems across SLAM, autonomous navigation, spatial AI, and electronics. Responsibilities include developing, integrating, validating, and benchmarking algorithms and PCB designs using simulation and real-world tests on the Elios 3 platform.

Research and implement spatial representation and knowledge-integration methods for autonomous drones. Develop AI techniques for environment interpretation, integrate and evaluate solutions on the Elios 3 platform through simulation and experimental validation, and analyze performance, robustness, and efficiency.

Intern will research, benchmark, and implement global relocalization and place-recognition methods for SLAM on the Elios 3 drone, integrate and validate algorithms in simulation and real datasets, detect false positives, and evaluate performance metrics like accuracy, robustness, and compute efficiency.

Research, develop, and validate autonomous navigation and perception capabilities for an indoor inspection drone. Implement planning, state estimation, mapping, and SLAM improvements, integrate into the existing autonomy stack, and evaluate performance via simulation and real-world flight tests.

The Electronics Engineer Intern will design and develop electronic circuits for drones, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and improve drone performance through testing and validation.
