• Work on latest edge Cloud computing to automate difficult, manual and repeatable tasks for users adopting SaaS and Cloud technologies like AWS, Salesforce, Snowflake, Microsoft Dynamics and more
• Use the latest trends on building SaaS applications using multi-tenancy, scalability large data volumes / Big Data and more. Very proficient in Java, Spring, Python and web technologies.
• Develop and expand our portfolio to support most popular Cloud apps (200+)
• Develop understanding of not just software development, but also how to design, develop and launch a product from concept to high customer use.

About the role:

We are looking for a Head of Product Engineering to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately. He/she will be making executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs. You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.

You will work directly under the CEO/COO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

Role & Responsibilities.

• Develop a company's strategy around technology and product to ensure alignment with its business goals.
• Spend 70% of your time developing, architecting and coding in Java, Python and web technologies and the rest managing the product, infrastructure and team.
• Hire and manage resource and technology risks
• Experience in designing technical solutions, being hands on with code and technology
• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Build quality assurance, data protection and security processes
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
• Public IaaS/PaaS Cloud (AWS and Azure)
• Experienced in modern dev stack like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.
• Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
• Managing technology budgets and time frames.
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
• Lead the team on design and execution of the engineering roadmap with a focus on engineering excellence in all aspects of the execution.
• Establish repeatable processes and methods that ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and reliability.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience in product engineering or similar leadership role with 10+ years of experience in a technology leadership role.
• MBA or Masters from a premium institution.
• Must have hands-on experience in managing projects and products. Experienced in Java, Front end technologies like Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, AWS, Modular software development, multi-tenant architecture and highly scalable systems.
• Must have hands on Full stack architecture experience
• Have in-depth conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes Cluster management and orchestration, microservice architectures, DevOps practices and tooling.
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude
• Experience in architecture, developing, deploying, and operating large scale, highly available, SaaS applications and services in private or public cloud.
• Multi-tenanted virtualized platforms managing mission critical workloads
• Server Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning (Linux & Windows)
• Have excellent understanding of availability, resiliency and durability architecture
• Deployment & Troubleshooting knowledge of Private and Public Clouds (AWS)
• Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Deployments
• Proficient with configuration & release management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
• Exceptional team management skills.
