As Head of Product for Cloud Engineering, you will lead the strategic vision for our core platform capabilities, empowering product engineering teams to deliver exceptional value to our global customers. You will manage and mentor a team of product managers, shaping a unified product practice across our build and run, cloud capability, and database engineering portfolios.
In this pivotal leadership position, you will drive foundational architectural transformations that power Xero's technology strategy. By steering our evolution toward an agent-first platform and advancing multi-region cloud capabilities, your work will directly influence how our software is built, scaled, and modernised across the globe.
The team & how they connect
The Cloud Engineering group spans twelve engineering teams across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, supporting the foundational infrastructure that keeps Xero running smoothly.
The team is currently working on
Crafting a unified platform product vision and establishing clear customer journeys across build and run, cloud capabilities, and database engineering portfolios.
Redefining our platform strategy to support an agent-first environment, enabling product engineering teams to leverage artificial intelligence effectively.
Modernising infrastructure by transitioning database workloads from self-hosted environments and SQL Server to managed cloud services such as Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
Architecting and delivering a resilient multi-region cloud platform to support global scale and reliability.
