The CIO team is comprised of approximately 100 employees, located across the world. The team includes multi-asset class strategists who travel to provide and explain market views to internal stakeholders and external clients, generating actionable investment content, risk management ideas, and helping create new product solutions.
The role:
The Head of Portfolio Advisory will report to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO. The candidate will be responsible for the management of CIO portfolios and will be a critical contributor to the CIO team, with responsibilities related to both investment management and client service functions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and deliver centralized messaging around CIO Team's strategy, views, and performance with the salesforce and clients.
- Power portfolio asset allocation via the Global Investment Committee, a management team of senior thought leaders who provide the strategic and tactical asset allocations for portfolio implementation.
- Partner on product development and innovation to drive business growth initiatives.
- Drive new product prioritization, research and execution, working across client and investment teams
- Stay abreast of trends and news, maintain pro-active views, and communicate conclusions/recommendations concerning pertinent sectors and macroeconomic trends and developments.
- Implement research views into portfolios.
- Oversee portfolio implementation partnering with the Investment Lab.
- Streamline processes, establish and review KPIs needed to grow the business.
- Monitor risk of client accounts and utilize quantitative tools to analyze portfolio exposures and risk-factors.
- Identify and initiate cross-business opportunities.
- Lead a team of specialists responsible for the day-to-day partnership with salesforce/teams on:
- Managed product support: messaging, product training, advising on client portfolio construction, etc.
- Business development: participating in prospect meetings, identifying new opportunities, etc.
- Develop and manage engagement frameworks to optimize use of CIO team/Portfolio Management time in the field with a focus on driving business at scale
- Be a strategic partner to broader CIO Team (research, portfolio management, the Lab, product) on messaging, advisor needs, and product development opportunities
- Synthesize the firm's intellectual capital for Advisors and their clients
- Ensure 100% compliance on all Citi policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience, preferably in developing and implementing Investment strategies
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with process-oriented execution, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal teamwork and external partners
- Deep knowledge of multi-asset class portfolio construction
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills
- Communication experience across large and small groups via all mediums
- CIMA, CFA or CFP® designation or candidate preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred
