As our Head of Payments (m/f/x), you will own one of the most critical customer-facing areas of our business, shaping the strategy that powers seamless, secure, and efficient payment experiences across regulated markets. You will take the lead in defining our PSP roadmap, managing key provider partnerships, and driving commercial and operational excellence from strategy to execution. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will influence decisions that directly impact customer satisfaction, transaction performance, and business growth. Your playing field

• You will define and execute a forward-looking payments strategy that strengthens customer experience and supports business growth. 
• We will rely on you to build and optimise a diverse PSP portfolio that delivers performance, scalability, and competitive advantage.
• You will lead commercial negotiations with payment providers and secure partnerships that create long-term value. 
• We will count on you to own the payments budget, monitor performance, and identify opportunities to maximise efficiency and return on investment.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve success rates, reduce friction, and enhance the customer cashier journey. 
• We will look to you to identify emerging payment trends and bring innovative solutions into our regulated markets. 
• You will establish clear payment processes, meaningful performance metrics, and actionable insights that drive continuous improvement. 
• We will expect you to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership, turning complex data into business decisions.
• You will inspire, develop, and empower a team of payments professionals to consistently raise their game and deliver outstanding results.

Which skills you should bring to the pitch

• Payments Expertise. Extensive experience leading payments operations with a deep understanding of payment processes, PSPs, and regulated environments.
• Gaming Experience. Proven experience within the gaming industry or Fintech and strong knowledge of regulated industries. 
• Leadership Experience. Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams at Head of level. 
• Commercial Acumen. Strong track record in stakeholder management, supplier negotiations, and managing strategic partnerships.
• Analytical Skills. Ability to solve complex business challenges using data-driven insights and sound decision-making.
• Market Knowledge. Strong understanding of e-payments, financial risk mitigation, and payment ecosystems, particularly in Germany and Austria.
• Project Management. Ability to lead complex initiatives from strategy through implementation and optimisation. 
• Communication Skills. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and influencing skills across all organisational levels. 
• Education. Bachelor's degree, post-secondary qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification. 
• English Fluency. Fluent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
