Key Responsibilities
- Contract New Business: Proactively source, pitch, and negotiate with new suppliers across the experience and travel trade industry, identifying exclusive and scalable partnerships that elevate our customer offering.
- Category Leadership: Own and optimise the buying strategy across multiple categories including short breaks, adventure, wellness, food & drink, and more.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Category Managers. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build deep and collaborative relationships with key suppliers. Drive joint business planning, exclusive offers, and innovation.
- Commercial Performance: Deliver against revenue, margin, and customer experience KPIs. Use data to identify trends and shape decision-making.
- Customer-Centric Product Development: Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure we deliver the right experiences to the right customers at the right time.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior buying, contracting or commercial role within the experience gifting, leisure, or travel trade industry.
- A track record of contracting new suppliers and building strong, scalable commercial partnerships.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen, with the ability to deliver significant margin improvements.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action – you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
- Confident communicator who can influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
