The Role

The role & impact

As the Head of Partnerships for Asia, you will play a pivotal role in driving Xero's growth across the region by originating and executing high-performing partnerships that deliver meaningful value for Xero and our customers. This role is a hands-on, individual contributor position where you will set the strategy for broad partnerships across channel, product, and key ecosystem/app relationships. Your commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset will be critical as you identify, own, and execute complex, high-value deals.

You will operate with a high degree of independence, ensuring partnerships deliver against strategic and financial objectives. Your strategic influence, both internally and externally, will advance Xero's strategic goals across Asia, securing new customers and supplementing our product offering with unique partner propositions. This work directly contributes to making life better for small businesses and building a stronger economy.


The team & how they connect

As the sole partnerships lead in the region, you will be an integral part of the regional leadership team. You will work closely with global and regional executives, providing a strong voice into product roadmaps and aligning partnership initiatives with overall business and product strategies. The partnerships team functions as a strategic unit, requiring collaboration with senior stakeholders to champion the partnerships agenda and advance Xero's goals in Asia.

The team is currently working on

  • Developing and championing a comprehensive partnerships strategy for the Asia region.

  • Independently identifying, owning, and executing complex, high-value deals with key strategic partners.

  • Identifying, qualifying, and building a pipeline of partnership opportunities that drive distribution and extend Xero's ecosystem.

  • Synthesising market insights and external perspectives to influence Xero's direction across product and ecosystem partnerships.

  • You have proven leadership experience in technology businesses.

  • You are able to think broadly at a strategic level while ensuring partnership strategies align with Xero product investments.

  • You possess strong executive influence and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • You are an expert in commercial and contract negotiations.

  • You demonstrate ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
